Furniture scale matters because a sofa from a larger house can erase the walking path and make a normal room look tight. A clear path from the entry toward the kitchen lets a buyer read the plan from the doorway. Too many small objects pull the eye off the architecture. Seating aimed only at a television can hide the longest view in the room. Lighting has to be even, or the photo looks dim. A bonus room needs one obvious use, or it photographs as storage.
Observation: the seating blocks the natural path from the entry toward the kitchen and makes the living room look tighter than it is.
Decision: remove one chair, rotate the seating group, simplify the coffee table, and open the sightline toward the main architectural feature.
